This utterly divine piece of mid-century elegance and craftmanship is sympathetically enhanced by the Tread Softly artistry and design into a classic for today. A multi-functional piece of furniture offering not only ample storage in the shelving system and integrated drawers but also doubles as a practical workstation with a slide out desk area that glides open from above the drawers to reveal a large working surface.  Above the pull-out desk top, the central tambour doors open to reveal the secretary features: three small drawers, shelves and three pigeonholes. The stunning teak wood now gleams again and is made yet more enticing by the sharp design and cutting edge colours. A Tread Softly originally and one off which has been hand painted using Fusion Mineral Paint. This three drawer shelving unit is a piece that will be coveted, cosseted and kept.
 
This piece originated in Denmak in the 1960s. It was designed by Johannes Sorth and produced by his own company, Bornholm Møbelfabrik. It has the original stamp on the reverse with the maker's mark incorporating the outline of the island of Bornholm and the initials BM.
